HIGHLIGHT

The content of the Egmont Overture can be divided into three sections: the oppression of Spanish rule and the suffering of the Dutch people, the fierce struggle of the Dutch against Spanish tyranny, and their final victory. In the music depicting heroic resistance, there is both pathos and beauty. Beethoven’s Symphony No.1 traces its influence from the classical elements of Haydn and Mozart’s works. Beethoven created nine magnificent symphonies during his lifetime, and his Symphony No.5 in C minor is the most renowned. The short opening motif is transformative, capturing the audience with an amazing sense of urgency, truly encapsulates how “fate” knocks on our lives.
