HIGHLIGHT

Alborada del Gracioso is the most popular piece from Ravel’s piano suite Miroirs, later arranged for orchestra by the composer and renowned for its Spanish dance rhythms. Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole also highlights unique dance rhythms and melodies from Spain. Although it has five movements and is called a “symphony,” it is de facto a violin concerto. Of Beethoven’s symphonic output, his Symphony No.7 in A major demonstrates the composer’s quest for happiness and confidence. This is a concert where color, vitality and rhythmic passion coexist.
