2016/2017音乐季开幕式音乐会节目变动

广州交响乐团原计划于2016/2017音乐季开幕式音乐会由著名青年钢琴家王羽佳担任钢琴独奏，在国际著名指挥家约翰·尼尔森的指挥下，与广州交响乐团合作演奏两首协奏曲。

现接王羽佳女士经纪公司通知，因王羽佳女士在日本巡演期间患上急性呼吸道疾病。医生强烈建议她取消中国演出，安心静养直至痊愈。为了不辜负广州乐迷的深厚期待，王羽佳女士经过多番考虑，仍坚持到广州演出。但由于身体原因，只能忍痛放弃原定演奏的巴托克《第一钢琴协奏曲》，保留演奏肖邦《F小调第二钢琴协奏曲》。

主办方对此突发状况表示理解，乐团与指挥紧急磋商后决定由乐团演出贝多芬《第六交响曲》（田园）》，替换巴托克《第一钢琴协奏曲》。广州交响乐团能在极短时间内排练并演出《田园交响曲》这部古典音乐史上最经典的曲目之一，不仅体现了乐团极高的职业素养，也希望籍此表达对观众最大的诚意，并借此揭开2016/2017音乐季特辑“德奥经典荟萃”系列的序幕。

贝拉·巴托克 《罗马尼亚民间舞曲》
弗雷德里克·肖邦 《F小调第二钢琴协奏曲，作品21号》
路德维希·范·贝多芬 《F大调第六交响曲（田园），作品68号》

对于常年与各大著名乐团合作的王羽佳女士来说，这不是一个容易的决定。作为音乐会的主办方之一，我们对王羽佳女士在患病期间依然牵挂广州乐迷和广州交响乐团音乐家，并决定坚持带病到广州演出的专业行为非常感动。在此，我们希望乐迷一如既往地支持王羽佳女士及广州交响乐团，用掌声回应音乐家和主办方在台前幕后付出的努力。

Advisory of GSO 2016/2017 Season Opening Concert Program Change

Dear Music Fans,

Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra originally planned to invite celebrated young pianist Yuja Wang to play two concertos in collaboration with internationally renowned conductor John Nelson in the 2016/2017 Season Opening Concert.

We receive Yuja’s authorized agent company’s urgent notice today – due to terrible bronchitis, Yuja Wang has been attended to doctors during her Japan tour and was ordered to stop performing to take a rest by her doctors. Given her affection for the audiences of Guangzhou, she has agreed to make an appearance nevertheless this week for her beloved fans in China. She has to ask to amend the program to perform only the Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 in F minor on this visit in consideration of her health problem.

We understand this urgent situation and consult Maestro John Nelson’s advice emergently. We decide to perform Beethoven’s No. 6 Symphony (Pastoral) to replace Bartok’s Piano Concerto No.2 in F minor. Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra will rehearse and perform the “Pastoral Symphony” – one of the most classic pieces with a very short time preparation, which is also a chance to see a professional orchestra’s overall standard and the greatest sincerity to the audiences. The GSO thereby opens the 2016/2017 Season “Austro-German Classical Highlights” series with this new program.

Obviously, it’s not easy for Ms. Yuja Wang (who frequently cooperates with major orchestras in the world) to make this decision. As one of the organizers of the concert, we are deeply moved by her affection for the audiences and the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra musicians. We hope you continue to support Ms. Yuja Wang and the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and give applause to the musicians and the organizers who make every endeavor in this special performance.

Audiences who have purchased this concert’s ticket can get a 30% discount for buying the following two concerts’ tickets (excluding the lowest price of each concert). For buying the discounted concert ticket, please show your GSO 2016/2017 Season Opening Concert ticket stub to the ticket center no later than October 7, 2016. A ticket stub redeems one discounted ticket.
