Highlight
At age 17, Russian maestro Vladimir Rylov began his conducting career as a wunderkind. After a hiatus of more than a decade, he reunites with the GSO in a romantic and passionate lineup. The program includes the Grande Polonaise Brillante, an early work of Chopin before he left his native Poland. It is matched with Tchaikovsky’s passionate Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4 has become iconic of its time, often compared with Beethoven’s Symphony No.5 (Fate).
